Art, Cultural Democracy and the City was a four-hour workshop bringing together urban planners, activists, residents, community groups and local politicians with the goal of collaboratively exploring what the future of Cork City might look in 2050.
Multiple conversations that where happening in the space at the same time, so the challenge was to capture as many snippets as possible. The “building block” wall of cardboard boxes resonated with the participants straight away. The box wall showcased the interconnected ideas, activities, conversations and partnerships. And, boxes were rearranged by participants, to highlight connections and relationships important to them.
