In a series of six events held in 2023 and 2024 the Government of Ireland’s Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications is exploring how the 17 sustainable goals are being implemented across all areas of Irish life and business. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the centre piece of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all UN member states in 2015.
Each event has a different focus: those who are easily left behind, biodiversity, local economy and community among others.
For these events, I created a bespoke tower, triangular in plan, constructed from inexpensive recycled double walled cardboard. The towers created a new sense of space in the event space, allowing participants to weave in and out of the drawings. The towers can easily be deconstructed and collapsed into a flat pack for easy transportation after the event.
